Well, let me first start out by saying that I have been working on the cracks in my house for awhile now. We had foundation problems (Texas) and hired a foundation company to put pillars under our house. That was 2 years ago. This year, we finally got around to hiring a handyman to help is with our ceiling and wall cracks. It appeared he did everything right from going into the attic to nail in the drywall to using tape to using compound. After a few weeks, the cracks started to appear again. I wasn't sure if this was because the foundation was never truly secure, if it was because Texas has long, hot summers, or if the handyman did a poor job securing the cracks. Anyway, after touching up the cracks with lightweight spackling and paint, the cracks continued to reappear after about a week. So, I went online to do some research on ceiling crack repair.
