I've had this interface since 2012 (about 4 years). I've used it mainly for playback and mixing, but have also recorded with it.The preamps are decent, but not stunning. They get the job done. The converters are very good. As a playback or line recording device this device sounds very good. The round trip dynamic range measured by RMAA is 109 dB, which is not as good as thousand dollar mastering converters, but significantly better than consumer sound cards.
I've had a few issues with this device though:
1. The drivers aren't very good. They have an issue where under high CPU load they can drop a sample and then go into a state where everything sounds warbly and underwater. Strangely, I've had the exact same issue with an M-Audio Transit card. I think it's a bug in their driver that seems to be occurring in multiple cards of this brand.
2. The preamps can pick up noise off the electrical line. Powerline ethernet, for example, is a complete no-go. It causes beeps and bloops on these preamps. The preamps can also pick up a little bit of 60 hz, though it's very low in the signal so probably not a problem.
3. The mixer included with the driver only does 18 channels. This means that you can't use all 26 channels and have zero latency monitoring.
Because of the driver issues with this card, I'm no longer using it as a primary interface. However, it's also a standalone preamp and ADC. I've upgraded to an RME Audio interface, and I'm using this for 8 additional preamps with conversion.
Overall, if you're looking at this device used, I'd say only get it if it's cheap enough to be worthwhile in standalone mode. In today's market, there are much better options for a primary interface.
